Truth About Computer Security Hysteria

A.I.D.S. virus

A typical variation on the original Good Times hoax virus alert (see related link). It claims you'll need to throw away your computer if you read an email with "OPEN: VERY COOL" in the subject line. This virus can magically destroy the PC's "memory, sound card and speakers, and it will infect your mouse or pointing device, as well as your keyboards."

Like most hoax alerts, it urges you to forward it as soon as you can to as many people as possible.
