FatCat virus

CATEGORY: Hoax virus alerts

A typical variation on the original Good Times hoax virus alert (see related link). It claims a "FatCat" computer virus will physically eat your mouse — and it can magically infect any disk within 15 feet of an infected disk. The alert claims the only way to get rid of the virus is for you to physically destroy your computer.

The hoax is "brought to you in the interest of public safety by Notnilc Electronic Smacs." Notnilc is "Clinton" spelled backwards and Smacs is "scams" spelled backwards.
