Truth About Computer Security Hysteria
The time has come to make a difference
Rob Rosenberger,
Vmyths co-founder
Friday, 15 October 1999
THE TIME HAS come to make a difference. You can nominate me to the U.S. government's
Computer System Security and Privacy Advisory Board. See
below for simple instructions and a sample letter. CSSPAB members receive no salary. Nomination deadline:
15 Nov 99. My wife alerted me to this, so I know I've got her backing. I need your backing, too.
- Write a short letter like this one:
I nominate Rob Rosenberger for a position on the Computer System Security and Privacy Advisory Board, membership
type #2 (independent expert). Mr. Rosenberger submitted his credentials package by mail and he will gladly
serve a term on the board if selected. Thank you for considering him.
- Mail or fax your letter to:
NIST
Edward Roback, CSSPAB Secretary
100 Bureau Drive, M.S. 8930
Gaithersburg, MD 20899-8930
FAX: (301) 926-2733[1]
We're talking about making a tiny difference here. Then again, a statue begins with one small chip in a massive
block of stone. Help me put a chip on my shoulde... no wait, I mean help me chip away at... oh for God's sake, you
know what I mean! Let's do it.
