Panda's 24/7/365 claims, part 2

Friday, 3 July 1998 PANDA SOFTWARE CONTINUES to call themselves "the only anti-virus developer in the world to provide users with technical support personnel 24 hours a day, 365 days a year" in a press release regarding Network Associates' purchase of Solomon's. Sophos continues to defy such claims, of course. I spoke today with a Sophos technician (Friday 9:15pm local) just to make sure. Another sticking point: Solomon's sale "removes one major player from the market and clearly leads Panda Software to the Pole Position among top European-based computer security providers." In reality, Solomon's remains a major player in Europe.
