9/13/01 apology

Vea Culpa, Corrections editor
Tuesday, 2 April 2002 Rob Rosenberger's 9/13/01 column quoted a private email from Vmyths PR agent Phil Hall without asking for permission. Rosenberger's apology follows:
I failed to ask for permission before quoting from a private email. Worse, some people may view Hall's quote in an unfavorable light due to the controversial nature of my column. I did not do this intentionally. I want to go on the record to apologize for my unintended insensitivity, and for quoting his private email without asking, and for any perception of using his quote out of context. Hall continued to handle our PR in an admirable fashion even after I slapped him with my insensitivity. I hope he'll forgive me, and I look forward to working with him as our agent. He does an outstanding job for Vmyths — and he demonstrated his professionalism by continuing to work with us despite my affront.
